I’ve always been raised to love my family,
but this bond goes far beyond blood.
It reaches into the realms of eternity,
it drowns me just like a flood.
I’ve faced my greatest fears for them,
gone far past what I had thought that I could achieve.
Given them all my love that continues to stem,
for in each other we believe.
My husband, my daughter, my grandson,
make me a better me.
And the good times are far from done,
just you wait and see.
We can weather any storm on through it’s end,
and we’re always down to ride.
My daughter is my closest friend,
in her I can truly confide.
My husband is my soulmate,
and heaven sent my grandson here,
We will never raise him in hate.
And we’ll teach him never to fear.
To live with love and integrity,
to do what makes him smile.
To handle himself in the street and city,
to enjoy the walk, each and every mile.
How to be a man and how to treat women with respect,
and to enjoy each day, even the ones that were bad.
I’ll always shower him with love every single chance that I get,
teach him how to smile and ease his anxiety when he’s sad.
This vow I make and will never forget,
to my own holy trinity.
My little family sacred family sect,
my husband, my daughter, my grandson and me.
